Ashley Polson earned her MFA in Visual Arts from New Hampshire Institute of Art through their Low Residency MFA program in 2018. She earned her BA in Studio Art from Muhlenberg College in 2011.
Ashley is interested in exploring the relationship between humans and the environment through the combination of abstract and representational styles. She is interested in the many different types of relationships humans can have with nature, art and culture whether they are challenging, nostalgic or thought-provoking. Ashley’s work does this by examining the liminal space between drawing and sculpture and the comparison of the observed with illusion.
